Wynoochee River Fishing Report

overcast today but I still went out. caught a nice mix, some trout and a couple of smallmouth. used a popper and had some surface action which was cool. even with the wind picking up a bit, it was chill and fun. can’t wait to go again!

wow it poured while I was on the river, but it was so worth it! hooked into a giant steelhead, probably around 8 lbs, using a blue and silver spoon! adrenaline was rushing, and I was soaked but just grinning like a kid. definitely coming back soon!

it rained pretty good today but went out anyways. didn’t catch much, just a few dinks but met some nice folks out there. shared some tips, everyone was hoping for the big ones! weather was crappy but the company made it worthwhile.

fished the wynoochee in some patchy rain today. water was a bit high but managed to hook onto a 5 lb. salmon! used a pink jig and it did wonders. so much fun! the way he fought made it totally worth it, even with the drizzle.

hit the river again, patchy rain but not too bad. caught a couple of smaller rainbows, nothing over a pound tho. used a spinning rod with some worms, but they were kinda picky today. saw some guys downstream pulling in nice ones tho, maybe I need their secret bait!
