Captain Mike Pritchard checked in with an update from the Tribute. We had decent fishing on Friday! Our 21 anglers ended up with 61 California Yellowtail and 1 Bluefin Tuna (up to 110 pounds).
The Tribute has overnight trips departing daily at 10 PM.

Capt. Matt and the boys are heading home with at least 6 bluefin over 100 pounds. Tomorrow’s trip is a definite go with a very light load. Most of these bluefin were landed on 40 lb flyline rigs. Mutu circle hooks from size 2-2/0 are recommended.

Hello Everyone,
We had another nice day today. Mainly catching good Yellowtail and Bluefin. It was a slow pick in the morning and slowed around lunch time. The second half of the day we focused on the larger tuna. We were able to get one bite, unfortunately the hook pulled. Slower action on the larger fish today.
Tomorrow we will be switching gears to Kelp patty fishing. In hopes of Dorado and Yellowtail.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 8-2-2017
Well I did find some photos of Tom Chaparros trip. One of the crew took a dozen pictures on his cell phone while he was running around working! As well as thinking Tom and the gang for a great fun filled trip I would like to extend a special thanks to Herb Yamanaka for bringing custom-made solid wood bowls to give out to all of the anglers and crew on the trip. Herb does this every year and the workmanship of his gifts are absolutely superb! Thank you Herb Tom and gang for a fun six days the Polaris supreme crew!

Hello Everyone,
The weather was pretty rough last night and is still pretty choppy today. It does not look like we will have time to fish today.
Yesterday fishing was so good, we were able to enjoy the fruits of our labors with some freshly filleted yellowtail for today's lunch.
20- 30 lb fresh yellowtail for lunch, doesn't get much better than that!
We will be in San Diego tomorrow bright and early tomorrow morning.
