Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-30-2019 A few Wahoo a little bit of grouper drifting and of course lots of small yellowfin and skipjack. We never did connect today with a better grade yellowfin. And Wahoo fishing was slow. Same weather conditions going on we had rough weather all afternoon but by midnight it had calmed down nicely. Going to be doing a little yellowtail fishing on the coast tomorrow. Hopefully in some good weather! The Polaris supreme crew!

47 yellowtail 29 bonito 6 calico bass. A couple of good shots today. Surface iron fishing is a technique that should be attempted once you are completely comfortable with your gear. I believe that you will enjoy fishing a lot more if you become very good at bait fishing first. Flylined sardines were the most productive today.

Ryan Bostian checked in from “The San Diego” this afternoon with an update from Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. The Bluefin Tuna are 20 to 120 pounds. Please make sure you are prepared. The Yellowtail are 5 to 10 pounds. Please bring one light rod and one heavy rod. A light rod would be 25 pound or 30 pound test. A heavy rod should be nothing less than 40 pound outfit a 50 or 60 would be better. The Bluefin are biting on a flat fall jig. A perfect out fit for he flat fall jig would be a Talica 12 filled up with 65 pound spectra with a short top shot of 80 pound fluorocarbon. Today we had Captain Cameron running the boat. He had a very respectable day offshore in a crowded ocean. FISH COUNT: 56 anglers caught 2 Bluefin Tuna and 52 Yellowtail.

Good evening friends, Today we fished the yellowtail area again for another couple of hours, with very similar results. Things started off slow first thing in the morning, but picked up a little later. Soon we were able to put a nice bunch of mossbacks on the boat before we had to take off mid day. We are currently in route to the yellowfin tuna grounds. Recently they have been biting very well. We should be in the grounds tomorrow morning sometime after breakfast. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

December 14, 2024 western new york Fishing Report

Hello Everyone, Today we spent the day looking for kelps. The weather was windy with a lot of white caps. Through the chop we managed to find some kelps holding some Dorado. Never found the kelp with the mother load, but we were still able to scrape together some fish. Although choppy weather, the anglers still managed to have a great time during their annual Solex contracting 1.5 day charter. We look forward to next year guy! Back out for 2 days tomorrow. Wish us luck,
