101 Yellowtail, 58 Bonito. Full size yo-yo lures, dropper loops with 10-12 oz sinkers and some fresh 40 lb mono is all you need.

Today we went out with 40 anglers and caught 16 yellowtail and 33 rockfish. We had a couple good shots at fish today. Unfortunately our hook to land ratio was a bit low. This spring is setting up nicely.

The fishing out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego is already great and is ready to explode as water conditions improve and temperatures increase. The new Seaforth Landing buildings and parking lot are almost ready to roll and things are looking really good!!! Congratulations to everyone at Seaforth !! Great Job !!! I was lucky enough to fish with Captains Bob Williams and Bryan Winn for a 3/4 day trip aboard the Seawatch to the beautiful Coronado Islands. We limited out on 3-6 pound bonito by 10am in wide open fishing not far off the coast. Captains Bob and Bryan than steered us to the Coronado Island for a shot at some big island yellowtail. Not long after dropping anchor yours truly hooked and landed a nice yellow on a dropped looped chovy. Way to go Kidd !! We hooked a bunch of yellows on sardines, anchovies and iron, landing some and loosing others to reel screaming runs to the rocks. The highlight came when young Chris "Don't call me Littleman anymore" Robinson hooked, battled and landed a nice 20 lb Coronado Island Yellowtail. Awesome job Chris !!! We ended the day with 10 nice yellows from 13- 28 lbs led by Mark Nahabedians' 28 pounder that he nailed on Salas blue and white iron. Captains Bob, Bryan and crew did an awesome kob putting us on the fish. We were the high count boat out of all the 3/4 day boats fishing the Islands. Great Job Guys !!! "Just what we had hoped for!" reported Owner-Skipper Tommy Rothery aboard the Polaris Supreme November 26. "We had a really fun day on some of the bigger grade yellowfin. We landed nine fish over 100-pounds. Charlie got one at 213-pounds and Gunnar, one of our first timers, got the biggest one for the day that weighed in at 230 pounds. He did it all by himself from start to finish. And by the way, he is only eleven years old. He also landed another one that was well over 100 pounds. Our weather is fantastic. We are hoping for another fun day tomorrow."

Captain Mike Pritchard called in at 8:22 AM this morning with an audio update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA. We just had our first morning stop. We went 2 for 6 on the bigger grade Tuna over 100 pounds. We did get on that is around 115. In addition, we caught a couple on fly-lined baits. Make sure you bring multiple outfits. We recommend 20 pound all the way to 80.

Capt Matt has called in an early report of 20 bluefin and 10 yellowtail with 5 fish still hanging. Spots are going fast so make those resos. Passports are required for all trips that fish within 12 miles of Mexican Territory. The Coronado Islands fall into that category.

Hello everyone, We had a fantastic day of fishing today. Great Bluefin tuna fishing. The fish were 20-40 lbs, and were biting extremely well. Great action from sunrise until 3 pm. Hopefully we have similar action tomorrow. We will be targeting Bluefin as well as Yellowtail. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-07-2019 Nice travel day today! Good weather good company and great food. Oh yeah little bit a napping and to. Just rigged and traveled today will be arriving at our fishing grounds tomorrow. Looks like were going to have good weather for the next couple days. See you tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!
