Warrior River Fishing Report

made it to warrior river again, another day with a chance of rain. water felt good, not too choppy. caught a few small bass but nothing major. got a few bites on my topwater lure which was fun! might try a different spot next time, looking for those bigger ones!

went back to the river, had patchy rain like the forecast said. wasn’t too bad tho, had a nice 25” channel catfish that put up a decent fight. using my trusty old rod with 12 lb test, gotta love the thrill when they bite! felt good to be out there even when it’s drizzling.

fishing trip today was awesome, weather was overcast and warm, perfect for fishing. caught a nice 5 lb largemouth on a jig, woot! was mainly just casting around some submerged logs, definitely gonna be back here again. felt really good to finally hook into a decent fish!

well today was a washout! heavy rains came down while we were out there trying to fish. I swear it was like fishing in a waterfall at times! only thing I caught was a cold. couldn't even reel in any big ones, just a couple small perch. but hey, at least the river is full again. next time will be better!

so we hit the warrior river today, had some patchy rain but nothing too serious. was using my favorite spinners and caught a decent bluegill, maybe 1.5 lbs? released it back into the water. made a few good casts, got a bit soaked but it was fun! nothing feels better than fishing in the rain.
