176 yellowfin tuna 2 skipjack tuna. Finesse bait gear has proven to be very important. Today’s high liners were fishing 15&20 lb and #4 & #2 live bait hooks. Keep a 40 lb rod nearby because we have had some short windows of aggressive fish.

Hello Everyone, It has been pretty action packed today. Starting with biting Yellowfin Tuna in the dark then, changing to picking at Grouper and Wahoo during the day. Now settling back into a night time pick on the Yellowfin Tuna. It seems like there is always something going on. We are loving the variety and cannot wait for what tomorrow brings. We have a 2-day trip coming up and need some people to help fill it. This could be a great opportunity to get in on some sea bass action. There were already a few 40# sea bass caught at the channel islands last weekend Here is the info for the trip. I hope to see you there.

Hello everyone, We departed today on our annual SImpatico charter. We currently have the boat pointed south in hopes of a nice mixed bag. Tomorrow will be mainly a rigging day. In the meantime we are enjoying a delicious prime rib dinner and a nice ride down. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

If you have ever wanted to catch a yellowtail you should go fishing now. 52 pass. 246 yellowtail on flylined bait, small yo-yo jigs and surface iron.

Today we spent our final day offshore. We had a few hours to try for some kelp patty Tuna and Dorado. We tried multiple kelp's for nothing. However we did have one kelp patty that was an absolute aquarium. It was wide open for the smaller yellowfin tuna. It was incredible action to end on. We also caught a few bonus Dorado as well. A fantastic Finnish to a five day trip.

 We are implementing a new satellite buoy tracking system to better assist us with re finding productive kelp patties and other floating debris that may hold fish!

We had a good day of fishing today on the yellowfin tuna most of the fish
were 40 to 55 pounds a few standouts in the 70 and 80 pound range! We again
had heavy losses due to tackle failure and of course the great white sharks!
Our weather was excellent all day. The guys are fishing 40 pound test to 50
pound test with very small hooks mostly size 1 or 1/0. Most of the fish lost
are probably in the 70 to hundred pound range. There just on so long that
the line wears through or they get munched! Everybody had a shot at two to
as many as seven fish throughout the day but our land ratio was down around
30%. We're going to do this again tomorrow hopefully we have better luck on
the landing end of it!, All in all it was great day.
