Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-01-2018
We had a great day of Wahoo fishing! We woke this morning to choppy weather. After telling the passengers that Wahoo don't like rough weather, we proceeded to have our best day so far on Wahoo. Tom who had been trying for 40 years to catch one caught two! And then there was at the guys who have never got one before that also ended up with a couple. Whether looks like it is going to be nice tomorrow in the yellowtail grounds.

Yesterday night Captain Ryan Bostian called in with a Coronado Islands update. We are probably having the best Yellowtail fishing we have ever seen at the Coronado Islands. Yesterday Captain Taro had a charter with 145 Yellowtail. Two days ago we had 251 Yellowtail. The boat is not sold out we do have spots available You will need a passport. We got in there and got things done pretty fast this morning. We docked at 6:30 and were off loaded and on our way to the fuel dock after an hour. We handled fuel and an oil change and had passengers on the boat by 10:00. So we got a good jump which allowed us extra time and the bait receivers to search through our options to ensure we had the best bait available. We took what we call firecracker sardine. A mix of mostly 4-6 inch sardine. It didn't look so hot going in but it's seems to be getting the hang of living in our wells now.
It didn't take long before we were arriving to the fishing grounds. We found a few schools before dark and scratched out 20 something tuna before dark. We're going to drift here tonight and start off here in the morning.

The Tribute out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA checked in with us today.
Very good fishing today on a variety of species, 104 yellowtail, 115 skipjack, 9 yellowfin, and 7 Dorado for our 23 anglers. Looking light throughout next week, book a spot and get in on this fun fall fishing! Little hectic today couldn't get many pictures, but got one good shot of a decent sized Dorado.

Never found the lucky kelp today. Still scratched up a mixed bag in beautiful weather. 18 dorado 27 yellowtail 29 skipjack.

Found what we were looking for, away from any other boats. Ended up with 4 Bluefin, #135 and the others all at #70 or so. Heck of a day!

Hello everyone,
Today we spent the day Wahoo fishing. It was a pretty slow day, conditions were poor and the current was not happening in our favor.
We scoured the grounds for only a few Wahoo and Dorado. There were a few Marlin mixed in as well. Defiantly not good enough to keep us here tomorrow.
We are off to try for tuna tomorrow.
