it was misty on may 28th, nice change from rain tho! i managed to land a big ol’ 6lb bass! that was epic. didn’t have to deal with too much wind, just the mist making it kinda magical out there. used a top water lure too, felt good to get that bite!
on may 23rd, back to tahkenitch lake and it was overcast again. caught 4 fish, all around 2-3 lbs. really thinking the fish were biting more with the clouds around! used a crankbait that looked like a shad, they couldn’t resist. just good vibes all day.
may 15th was one of those days where you just push through the rain. caught a couple nice ones, nothing huge but still fun! i used a wacky rigged senko in watermelon color, they seemed to love it. the wind picked up but i didn’t care, still had a blast!
so, may 11th was a wet one, like really wet. but somehow i pulled a 5lb trout outta the water! my rain gear was soaked but that fish made it worth it. got it on a silver spoon. also saw a few other folks catching too, we all soaked but happy!
headed to the lake on may 9th, was overcast again but the fish seemed to love it! hooked into 2 nice bass, about 3lbs each. used a black jig, they hit it hard! can’t believe how quick they are. worth every minute out there 🎣
