July 19
  Today went well I thought.  Starting with our ride up last night.  As good as it gets.  Flat calm.  The only swell was a long swell that would slowly, gently rock the boat.  We slept like babies.  In fact, I think I woke up with my thumb in my mouth.  I let everyone sleep in if they chose to.  We didn't start fishing until just before 9:00 in the morning.

  We were pleasantly surprised with the fishing.  It was good.  We tried for some more yellows, for us, and to check out the grounds for future trips as well and they bit well.  We kept 2-4 going the whole time until we drove away from them.  "We left them biting".  Our favorite thing to say out here.  After that we ran up and made a few drifts for some Cod.  We had the time and I had a few requests so we caught a few rockfish.

  Now we're headed home.  The crew's scrubbing the boat, I'm writing this, I think there may be a poker game going on, and we're just hanging out and enjoying ourselves and the beautiful ride up.  The wind and swell are on our stern.  That storm out there is blessing us with a lovely ride home.  Its like we're riding down but we're going up.  Timing is everything.  Sometimes it all comes together and this trip was one of them.

  So we'll be home bright and early tomorrow and of course we'll be headed back out a few hours later.
         

32 large bonito today. Weather is keeping us tied to the dock for a few days. Next available trip is Friday. Make those reservations.

All of these trips are 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. trips and can be booked thru Seaforth Sportfishing at (619) 224-3383. The cost of these trips is $105 and includes a Mexican fishing license.

At the end of each trip we will be holding a raffle where you can win some great Blackwater products! Come join us!

30 pass. 89 yellowtail 32 kelp bass. 1 flyline setup with 20-30 lb and 1 yoyo setup with 40 or 50 lb is all you need.

Today we had a great day of Wahoo fishing. The Wahoo were big and very eager when we got on them. The only thing that stopped the bite was the sun going down. Hopefully we can pick up right where we left off tomorrow. Hi friends. We landed 40 Bluefin most in the 35-55 lb. class Through the morning till lunch time in one long drift. late in the day we sat on another school and managed to land a few before dinner was served. As of now, we're sitting on the "sack" and we're metering fish all the time. We'll see what happens in the morning when we wake up. Hopefully, we can pick away at 'em on the bag and never have to move. We'll see what happens. Weather was ok and looks even better for the next few days.

We're happy with our day as some of the boats down here didn't even break double digits. So, we'll take it and run with it. Chappy and the boys are doing just fine and we'll be making a decision tomorrow whether or not to stay put for Bluefin or make the run down to the Yellowtail grounds. Stay tuned. Take care.
