finally got some sun! kinda partly cloudy in the morning. caught a huge 7 lb halibut on a live mackerel! was so stoked, it started pulling like crazy! used my 40 lb line and a mid-range rod. going back for sure!
went out again, still overcast, still no big ones. landed some small yellowfin croakers using shrimp as bait. wind made it tough but we managed to find a sheltered spot. just grateful to be out on the water with my pals!
this fishing trip was a blast! went out with some buddies, solid overcast day. got a nice 5 lb rockfish on a crankbait. kept switching it up until something worked! all around good vibes on the boat, even if the fish were a bit finicky.
fished late morning, overcast again. caught a few small sand bass with a jig head and gulp bait. nothing huge but had some fun! wind picked up around noon, made it tricky. i just love being on the water, ya know?
man, today was a washout! heavy rain at times, but i went anyway. managed to snag a decent stingray, about 6 lbs. used a heavy setup, 30 lb braid. it was wild out there with the waves! left drenched but happy, what can ya do?
