Hello Everyone, Last night was a slower than the previous nights for tuna. In the morning we focused on Wahoo. We were rewarded with a couple stops for Wahoo and a handful of 20lb Yellowtail. We will be working up tomorrow. We will be in search of Yellowtail. Wish us Luck, Team Supreme

73 yellowfin tuna 3 skipjack tuna. We were minutes away from bailing on our area after our first 3 schools swam away without biting. The words from my old boss Ed McEwen “never leave fish to find fish” once again proved to be spot on. A cooperative school late in the day made all of our frustration fade away.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening. We had 18 passengers catch 6 bluefin tuna from 70-110 pounds. We landed about 1/3 of what we hooked. All you need is a 20 lb Rod for smaller yellowfin. A 50 lb bait Rod with 3/0 circle hooks and a couple 4 oz. torpedos for big fish. And a 60 lb. Rod to fish a flatfall.

Hello everyone, Today we spent another day targeting quality Wahoo and school sized tuna. We did great, picking at the Wahoo the majority coming on live bait. The bombs and jigs seem somewhat dormant at the moment, but we're not complaining because fish are coming aboard! At times there is an incredible amount of life out here. From the Wahoo, Skipjack, Yellowfin, Triggerfish, and more. The volume of life makes it difficult to hook the targeted Wahoo and bigger Tuna. So there is quite a bit of weeding out of the small yellowfin and other species in order to get what we came here for. Aside from Tuna and Wahoo we had an unexpected jag of Dorado swim through today. We landed a handful of the larger models to add to the fall variety pack here aboard Polaris Supreme. We are heading up tonight in hopes of a Yellowtail topper tomorrow morning. Wish us luck! We departed today on a private charter with 21 passengers. We hear the weather is coming down so we are anxious to get to the fishing grounds. We should be there tomorrow morning.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in at 4:12 PM with a wrap-up from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we had 19 anglers catch 53 Yellowtail and 93 Red Rockfish. We had very good Winter fishing at the Coronado Islands Today with Captain Cameron Cribben at the helm. We caught Yellowtail using all four techniques: surface iron, yo-yo jigs, fly-lined baits and dropper loop!
We are a go tomorrow with a light load!

We have a two day trip that has some spots available. The trip departs Sunday the 9th of September at 9 p.m. fishing the 10th and 11th. and returns on the evening of the 11th. This two day is limited to 20 people. Cost is $510 per person and includes food and permits.
