👤 Sarah T.hey folks! so today we hit the roaring fork in aspen, around 6am after sunrise, and the weather was kinda sketchy with some thundery clouds looming, but hey, that didn't stop us! the temp was a brisk 9.8° but we layered up and got ready. i used a 5wt fly rod with some nymphs and man, was it worth it! hooked into some sweet rainbows, around 14-18 inches, all while avoiding the sprinkles. we also saw a moose chilling by the water, which was a nice bonus. around noon we decided to call it a day since it started getting windy, but overall it was a good morning on the water! can't wait to go back and try again, fingers crossed for better weather next time! 🎣
