Hello everyone, Another outstanding day of Bluefin Tuna fishing. the grade is great 20-40 lbs. We caught our daily limits early spent the afternoon looking for giants. Unfortunately we were not able to put any on the boat. We will be in tomorrow and out for 6. NOTE: the couple pictured are from the same house hold. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Wow! What a great 8 day trip we just had here on the Polaris Supreme! It was great finally getting to fish that southern zone of Alijos Rocks and The Ridge! Over 200 great quality wahoo, red hot Yellowfin Tuna fishing, and awesome night time Yellowtail fishing. The action was nonstop! We cannot wait to get back down there! We currently have a 10 day coming up with some spots available. Be sure to lock in your chance at some great fall wahoo, tuna, yellowtail, and maybe even a day of cow tuna fishing! All of us here at Team Supreme cannot wait to get back down there, we hope to see you there!

Wow, I think we have to pinch ourselves to make sure it's real. We had an unbelievable day. You could throw a bait in the water any time from day break to dark and catch a tuna. Some anglers released as many as 15 tuna in the 35-45 lb. class. We also scratched a few wahoo. After a delicious dinner of a veal shank, fresh asparagus and red potatoes all our guys and one lady went to bed very tired. Our weather is gorgeous and we are looking forward to another fantastic day tomorrow. Thanks for checking in. Tommy and crew P.S.  The ball stopped rolling for us today.  We got it rolling briefly but then it hit a hill again.  We started where we left off last night.  We weren't alone.  We just weren't seeing the schools on the edge of the fleet so we mosied our way up to the next area and we were late to that party.  So again we mosied our way up and at 1:30 we were still skunked.  We got off on our own and then finally spotted a breezer up and got on it and it bit pretty well for a while.  We caught 50, mostly the good grade yellowfin before they quit biting.  After that we really didn't see much for the rest of the day.  It was our day today.  Hopefully we can turn it around tomorrow.

 If you think about it though, the fish we caught yesterday were free, so if you add it to what we caught today, we had a stellar day.  I like to think of it like that.

 We're going to try to catch some bait tonight.  We have enough for tomorrow, but if we have a good day like I expect, we may be out of position to catch bait the following night so we're going to try and get it done tonight.
    

Ryan Bostian called in to give this report on the fishing at Coronado Islands, "In the last 3 days the temperatures have really jumped up on us. We are looking at 64 - 65, even 65.5 in some areas. We have been catching and seeing Yellowtail for the last month and one-half down here now. We started off in La Jolla, now we are down to the Coronado Islands. We have been averaging anywhere from 3 to 48 Yellowtail per trip. We had a nice day last Thursday, we had 48 of them. There are the same amount of fish around, we see some very nice schools. Some days they bite, some days they do not. It has not been easy to catch one but if you do catch one they are very nice sized fish. Most of them are every bit of 20 lbs., we did have a stand out yesterday which was 36 lbs. Very nice Coronado Island Yellowtail fishing.

As far as tackle goes if you came down with a 25 lb. rod and a fly line, a sardine, a little piece of fluorocarbon on the end of your mono and some 2/0 bait hooks you'd be all set to fly line. For those folks that like to fish artificial lures we have takes fish on both the Yo-Yo lures as well as the surface lures. Plenty of targets to throw at for you surface pluggers, if you'd like to come on down please join us aboard the San Diego. We do run every single day, we depart the landing at 5:30 AM, we'll be fishing the Coronado Islands for Yellowtail until something better pops up. Where ever the fish go we will go and right now they are at the Coronado Islands we are having a lot of fun with it. Hope to see you guys on the water."

The season's fourth 300-pound tuna arrived November 29 aboard Polaris Supreme with owner-skipper Tom Rothery at the helm as the 90-footer docked at Fisherman's Landing. The trip was 13 days for the boat and ten for the anglers who flew home from Cabo, and was sponsored by Rothery's partner Tom Pfleger, who heads PIER (Pfleger Institute of Environmental Research). A small group of 14 anglers including Pfleger was aboard.

Hi friends. Short report this evening as the weather is up once again. We checked out a different zone today and were only rewarded with a few fish for our efforts. We feel that the weather is jacking things up and once it backs off, the water structures will form again and we'll get back to business. Anyhow, like I said, our weather is sloppy but everyone is taking it fine and enjoying their dinner. We'll arrive back to the docks tomorrow morning and our ETA is looking like around 0630 hours. We'll brief you tomorrow and give you a trip wrap-up. Take care.
