We got a little bit of something throughout the whole day. Everywhere we went we got yellowtail, but no real bug hits.
Our morning bite had great quality but not as many as yesterday. Our weather is still good because of the island. Tomorrow we will be in open water on patties looking for dorado, tuna and yellowtail. Great fresh yellowtail and shrimp scampi for dinner. Check in tomorrow for our report.
Thanks,
Tommy and crew

Today was spent traveling in good, but foggy weather. Basically we just rigged tackle and ate a bacon, avocado, sprout omelet for breakfast. Rigged more gear and had a giant Texas cheeseburger for lunch. Rigged more gear then snacked on salmon, tuna, shrimp and eel sushi and sashimi. Rigged more gear and finished off the day with a beef tenderloin with a tomato, basil pesto sauce. Just rigging and eating and anxious to get to the fishing grounds!

Hello Everyone,
Today we targeted yellowtail.Unfortunately there was no current. The lack of current made fishing difficult. We did manage to pick off a couple of Yellowfin tuna and a few Dorado. In addition to that we caught some nice Lingcod and Rockfish in the meantime.
We will spend our last day trying for that school grade bluefin.
Wish us luck!

Took off today on a 5-day and we are hearing that the albacore took off in the morning but then died, but the prospects for yellowtail are great. So we will look for the yellowtail first thing in the morning. Our weather is absolutely gorgeous. For dinner we dined on a boneless Cornish Game hen with a summer favorite, fresh zucchini, and a side of fettuccini. Very tasty.
Thanks for checking in.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. Today we had Mexican limits of Yellowtail for our 37 anglers. We have been fishing offshore and the fish are a fun grade. Please bring your 25 or 30 pound bait rod. You should also be prepared with a heavy rod for bigger Bluefin Tuna. We are starting to see them show up in the counts. Tomorrow's trip is cancelled but we will be back out it Tuesday.

Labor day weekend caps off an excellent summer and also moves us into my favorite time of year. With water temperatures ranging from 70 to 74.5 this week was spent looking around offshore for kelp patties. On Wednesday we caught 82 yellowtail and a handfull of dorado. On Thursday we had a big day catching 108 yellowtail. Fridays fish count was 21 dorado and 16 yellowtail. Anybody who has spent any time at all fishing in San diego knows that September thru the end of November is a great time to fish. The kids are back in school , the weather is very nice and the exotics are in the area. With the Coronado islands still closed we will continue to fish offshore for yellowtail , dorado , bluefin tuna and albacore. This time of year the yellowfin tuna should show up sometime in the next few weeks. If your looking for lighter loads on the boats as well as the chance to catch an exotic fish. This is the best time of year.
Captain Ryan Bostian.
