👤 Mike S.fished Dana Point today and it was cloudy, so I thought we might get lucky. Light winds but the water was chilly. I took my buddy out and we hit the harbor around 6:00 AM. My setup was a medium action rod with a 1000 series reel, 10 lb test line. Tossed out some squid and got a couple bites. finally landed a nice 4 lb calico bass! We were hyped! Had a blast, even saw a dolphin swim by. We wrapped it up by noon when the wind picked up. All in all, a good day on the water. can’t wait to go again! 🎣
