We started our day today offshore tuna fishing. We were staying pretty steady jiggin em up. Onesie twosie for a few hours. We weren't seeing any volume though. Just handfuls of fish around here and there. No schools. The fish were also on the smaller side of things. We could've made a day out of it and ended up with a decent catch but the fish were on the smaller side of things. 8-12 pound yellowfin tuna and that's just not what we were looking for. So we decided to wind in the jigs and v line it down to the yellowtail grounds with the hopes of a sea bass mixed in.

The yellowtail grounds were very poor. There were two of us looking around there and we had a combined score of 0. Mr. Pfleger did get a white sea bass so we were stoked. Fish tacos in a couple days.

The weather today was fantastic and the forecast shows good weather for the rest of the week too so that's always good news. We're going to stick with the plan and go look for White Sea Bass tomorrow in some White Sea Bassy water. The ribs are smelling good so I gotta go.

 

We got a little bit of something throughout the whole day. Everywhere we went we got yellowtail, but no real bug hits. Our morning bite had great quality but not as many as yesterday. Our weather is still good because of the island. Tomorrow we will be in open water on patties looking for dorado, tuna and yellowtail. Great fresh yellowtail and shrimp scampi for dinner. Capt Ryan checked in from the San Diego to report that they finished yesterday's trip with 111 Yellowtail. We got a lot on the yoyo iron as well as the surface iron and flylined baits. Make sure you bring all your Yellowtail gear to be prepared, a 40 lb rig, a 25 lb bait rod and a surface iron rod. Hello everyone, We had a fantastic day of fishing today. Great Bluefin tuna fishing. The fish were 20-40 lbs, and were biting extremely well. Great action from sunrise until 3 pm. Hopefully we have similar action tomorrow. We will be targeting Bluefin as well as Yellowtail. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Covered a lot of water and chased small spots of bluefin almost all day long. At the end of the day we only managed to land 6 bluefin from 25-80lbs. Tomorrow’s a new day.

Today we are making turns to the island. We are looking like a late afternoon arrival. Bent rods and big fish are on everyone's mind.

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in with an update from the Tribute. We had decent fishing on Friday! Our 21 anglers ended up with 61 California Yellowtail and 1 Bluefin Tuna (up to 110 pounds).

The Tribute has overnight trips departing daily at 10 PM.
