had an early start today, hit the ocean by 6 am. the forecast was kinda gloomy but honestly, it turned out alright! we drifted about 10 miles out and the overcast was perfect for the fish. got a few mackerel using live bait, the kids loved reeling em in. then the real action started when we hooked into a nice yellowtail, must've been around 15lbs! used a heavy duty rod with 40lb test line, thank god, or I might've lost it. it was such a rush! ended the day with a solid catch and some great family memories. what a blast!
