Spent most of day searching for yellowtail in extremely clean water and very strong current. Our search for gamefish came up empty but our 50 passengers enjoyed some fine shallow water bottom fishing. We ended up with 150 Whitefish, 50 Rockfish, 30 Sculpin, 10 Sheephead, and 10 Bonito. 58 yellowfin 18 bluefin 2 skipjack. “Plunker” style long drifts require a perfect presentation to get a bite. Changing your bait often is key.

Good start on the trip today. Good weather all day long and scratched away at the tuna and had a good day on the Wahoo. We didn't get any pictures of the tuna but here's a few Wahoo pictures for the day. The guys are all doing well and having a great time.

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in tonight with an update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. We had a nice day of fishing for our group of 33 passengers today. We caught 4 Bluefin and 165 yellowtail (mexican limits). We had to go almost 80 miles to go get some today. We go again tonight.

4th of July action! 38 passengers 6 yellowtail 149 barracuda 7 kelp bass. Very good action all around the islands today. Fly lined sardines and surface lures were the best today. Come on down and see us the weather is flat calm.

Today we went out with 40 anglers and caught 16 yellowtail and 33 rockfish. We had a couple good shots at fish today. Unfortunately our hook to land ratio was a bit low. This spring is setting up nicely.
