Little Salmon River Ny Fishing Report

finally some decent fishing on the 27th! misty morning and very calm water. caught 2 nice 6 lb salmon, one on a spinner and the other on a jig! felt like they were finally biting again. such a chill day out on the river, made it all worth it!

heavy rain on the 23rd made it a tough trip. only managed to catch one tiny salmon, it was like the fish just weren't around. decided to just enjoy the misty scenery. used my favorite black fly but no luck. maybe I need to change up my tactics.

22nd was a tough one, just cold and wet out there. caught a couple really small fish, nothing to brag about. tried different lures but no luck with the bigger ones. maybe they were hiding from the rain? I enjoyed the quiet though, just me and nature.

went fishing on the 19th, it was super overcast and just chilly. felt like other anglers were struggling too, no one seemed to be catching much. finally hooked a decent 3 lb brookie but it got away by the rocks. such a bummer! hoping for a better day soon!

heavy rain again on the 7th made the river flow fast and muddy. caught only 1 small salmon but it put up a good fight. used a silver spoon, was pretty tough to cast in the wind! felt like a workout! maybe next time it won't rain so much.
