went out today and wow, thunder in the distance but still gave it a shot! hooked into a fat 17 inch trout, bright colors! used a crank bait, got a buzz going in the water. weather was wild but it made for a cool experience. can’t wait to do it again!
had another shot at the lamar today. it was kinda wet and windy, but i got lucky and hit a nice 20 inch rainbow! some patchy rain but didn’t bother me much. using a spinner that really seemed to work! really loved the thrill of the catch today.
fishing trip today was really nice! caught two decent rainbows around 14 inches, used a little black fly. weather was just right, overcast and cool, i just love that feeling! plan to go back for some bigger ones next weekend. looking forward to it!
went to the lamar after work, bit of rain but no biggie. only caught a few small ones today, like 10 inches or so. wish i had my baitcaster, just fished with some spinners. but hey, every fish counts right? might try again next week if weather looks good.
another day on the lamar, overcast again and water was nice! managed to snag a solid 18 inch brown trout! used a fly rod with a woolly bugger. that fish put up a good fight! can’t wait to get back out there this weekend, loving this river!
