Capt Matt has called in an early report of 20 bluefin and 10 yellowtail with 5 fish still hanging. Spots are going fast so make those resos. Passports are required for all trips that fish within 12 miles of Mexican Territory. The Coronado Islands fall into that category.

Weather report was a bit off for our first trip of 2021. Spent the day on the anchor in manageable depths. Plenty of fish fillet for all. No sign of yellowtail, yet !

Tuesday Dec 4 looks to be the best weather window for those folks looking to fish with us. If yellowtail are unavailable we will target cod in 180-400 ft. Before anyone freaks out, this picture was taken a long time ago and was on a Comercial boat fishing in legal US waters. Come prepared for yellowtail and bottom fish.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-13-2016 Good evening readers! We departed on Archie Steele's annual five day fishing trip. We left the harbor with a beautiful load of mid size sardines. There are a couple anglers who are new to the Polaris Supreme and we are eager to show them the Supreme experience! We will be fishing for yellowtail early tomorrow morning. We finally got settled in here late. The fishing was good, with a lot of action and a lot of variety. Tuna was the main game in town, they started small but eventually cleaned up into a nice 18-35 lb average. Mixed in with the Tuna were some Yellowtail, Grouper, and a Wahoo. A nice mixed bag to start off with.

We just departed on another 5-day. The bait isn't the best of the year by any means but it is what it is and we'll take it for what it is. We're heading straight for the albacore grounds for this afternoon and tomorrow and we'll take the trip from there. Check back.

Today we arrived to the grounds late. We were looking around for wahoo a little after noon. We only scraped up one Wahoo. However around 4pm we got the anchor down and started catching some great quality Tuna. 18-25lbs with the 30-40 lbers making a showing in the mix as well. Very clean tuna fishing here today. Hopefully we can get these Wahoo figured out tomorrow.
