Not too much to report today, but we got our lines in the water, and ended up with a few varieties of fish chilling in the refrigerated sea water. We ended up at sort of a one-stop-shop in that we caught the three species that we were targeting all on the anchor. That is not typical fishing, down this way. We usually find the fish one species at a time. Half the boat caught a wahoo today so that's not a bad start and we caught quite a few 15-30 pound yellowtails too with a handfull of call them 25-40 pound tuna as well. Weather continues to be nice, with a bit of wind that popped up later on in the day. It was great to finally use some of that tackle today, that we've spent so much time rigging over the past few days. Now we can get down to the serious business of (hopefully) catching some creatures from the deep blue sea to bring home, and share with our families at the dinner table.All is well aboard the Polaris Supreme, and it's first call for our evening meal consisting of pork chops, apple sauce, and assorted goodies. SUMMERTIME CONDITIONS ! Hey guys. Two days ago the water at the Coronado Islands was hovering right around 60 degrees and the fishing was slow. Conditions started improving rapidly yesterday afternoon and subsequently so did the fishing. Today we went out with 43 anglers and captured 25 calico bass 58 barracuda and full Mexican limits of sandbass. While we did not manage to catch any yellowtail today, we did however enjoy steady action from start to finish. I took a photo of our temp gauge for all you yellowtail hunters out there. With water temperatures like this. It won't be long before the yellows get back on the bite. Be here the day it happens, not the day after !

Another slow day at the islands coupled with a great catch from our code boat Liberty has resulted in us switching our run back to offshore fishing. November is the new September, Viva El Niño

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 11-26-2018 Our early departure paid off today! We were able to get into the island early enough to get the tuna located and get a good bite on them in the afternoon. The fish were mostly 60 to 80 pound range, maybe a few bigger. Our big fish was 145 pounds! One of the guys got three several guys got two and most everybody else got a least one. Our weathers great, we have a great group of passengers and were all having a wonderful time. Will check in with you tomorrow! The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Drew Henderson docked Polaris Supreme September 22 following a six-day trip with 22 anglers that visited Cedros Island and the albacore grounds with a look for very little at Guadalupe Island on the way through. "The day started up very well for us," he wrote September 18. "It was good scratching up until just after lunch and fishing took a dump. We looked around the Island for a bit and after making a few stops for a few more fish we took off from there and are now heading west to the big Island. We have a great catch of jumbo yellowtail on board and we're hoping to get some jackpot-settling, trophy size yellowfin tomorrow. We had Portuguese style yellowtail for dinner tonight. We had it last trip for the first time and I must say it was by far the best yellowtail I have ever eaten in my life."
