Lake Wateree Fishing Report

partly cloudy day at lake wateree, perfect weather! I was out there for hours and caught a few smaller bass but then hit a 7lb monster on a chatterbait, best catch of the day! winds picked up but that didn’t stop me. this lake never disappoints!

saw the weather was looking a bit better, so I went back out today. it was kinda rainy but then cleared up! threw a spinnerbait around some rocks and got a fat 6lb bass! man, what a fight! totally made my day, sweet time out on the water.

it poured today!!! went out anyways and got soaked, but hey, that's fishing right?! managed to take home a nice 2lb bluegill, they like to bite in the rain! only caught 1 tho, gotta come back when it’s drier. still had fun just being in nature.

hit the lake again after work while it was still overcast, things were slow at first but then boom, got a nice 5lb bass on a worm rig! was tense for a moment. released it back, but damn that was fun! also saw some other guys pulling in some nice ones. great evening!

fished yesterday at wateree, rain was sposed to come down hard but it just drizzled a bit. caught a couple of small catfish, not much for eatin but at least we were out there. used chicken liver on the bottom. really nice to just chill even with the clouds.
