We fished today with all our buds. Obviously it was the best game in town. We had boats from San Diego up to Ventura all nestled in sharing the same honey hole. 15 of us to be exact. It all worked out though. It was a nice spread of fish. Everyone was able to scratch. Scratch, scratch, scratch. From after daylight until after lunch. Then things went dead for the most part, so we pulled anchor and found a nice school to drift on. After a long drift the day was pretty much over. We drove around, made another anchor job but the fish were done. Just like us. We're done for the week. It's up to you whether or not we fish this next up coming weekend. Halloween weekend. See you there?
Oh, the fish today were tuna. Yellowfin. Smaller. We had a couple handfuls of 30-40 pounders first thing, but as soon as the current picked up, for some reason the bigguns split. So we stayed busy with the smaller ones. Veal. Oh, and they found sardine again. Loaded up. So don't worry 10 dayers.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-25-2019
We got off on a nice early start on Joe Becks annual eight day trip. We have 24 happy smiling anglers excited to get at it and throw some fish on board. The bait we picked up at the receivers to complement what we already have on board looks good (although small) . Our weather is great the wind we have is out of the south which is not normal but it's good going. Have you ever heard of the term it popped up overnight? It happens in the desert around Thanksgiving for the four wheeling off-road enthusiasts. You see it happen in the desert with the snowbirds in the fall time were huge motor home and trailer communities pop up. It happens at Coachella and Burning man. And yes it happens on the Polaris supreme too. Last night there was no sign of them. But this morning there's a full blown rod forest on the back deck! The boys are enthusiastic to say the least.

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 09-17-2020
It was a fair bite on the good grade tuna in the morning. We caught the only angler who didn't have a Wahoo one. And then went scouting. We where rewarded with a Boomer school of Dorado. We fished it for 45 minuets, Releasing most all fish. We kept only 14. Yellowtail tomorrow.

Good morning. It's morning time for me. 1:53 am. I'm writing about yesterday. I'd call it good fishing. Nothing crazy, just steady scratch fishing for most of the day. Same old grade, 14-22 pounders. Same basic grounds. It was a lot more fun than that sounds though. Come on, good fishing on a good grade of fish. What more could we ask for? Better weather? OK. But sometimes you get wind. When life gives you lemons... Seriously though, we had a whole lot of wind today. Here's the thing though. The boat drifted great. We may have had over 20 knots of wind, but the boat drifted like we had 10. A little wind burn and some chapped lips is all. As long as the fish bite and no one gets hurt.
Good fishing or not, we decided to take a break from that wind this afternoon. We made a little move where the wind gets blocked by The Island. What a difference. I compared it to sitting in a spa. Just that, aaahhhhhhhhh feeling. We even caught some fish. There were some spots of YT's up and at dark we caught 4 grouper, a halibut and a tail on a drift. Then we anchored up for Seabass and had dinner. We haven't caught a Seabass yet but we're hoping at or just before daylight we get some. One boat had some around these parts yesterday.
So that's it. We'll be here again tomorrow. 20 minutes left on my watch and I'll be going back to bed for a few more hours. Stay classy everyone and thanks for stopping by.
