lake jordan Fishing Report 2024

Yesterday morning the fishing was great, but mid-day the fish went down. About 4pm we were back into some great action on the albacore and smaller grade blue fin. We also had some really nice hits on the yellowtail. Our weather yesterday and today is good. Today started slow with only a handful of albacore and bluefin. Spots are filling quickly on this open party 5.5 day trip! This trip is sponsored by Blackwater fishing line and Tady lures. Things definitely slowed down today! You can tell it's on the downswing. If a guy works at it though he could put together a day if you stay with it! Took off from the island heading to Ensenada early and our weather is definitely snotty to say the least! Should be in late tomorrow afternoon Friday, and on time into San Diego on Saturday morning. Looking forward to having Vernon and the boys out on their annual five-day charter to Guadalupe Island! Don't have much more to say just hanging on trying to stay in my chair and not fly out of the wheelhouse.

Well, things do change. Conditions aren't looking good. The water here is dirty and just not right for a good yellow bite. Hope it changes.

Hello everyone,

It has been some real hit or miss fishing going on out here. The grade of the Yellowfin and Bluefin has been great.  14-25 lb Yellowfin and 30-40 lb Bluefin. It’s just a matter of getting that drift with 1 to 2 fish going the whole time. 

We are managing to scrape up some Tuna here. Still looking for the big drift!

21 Yellowtail, 32 Bonito. The big schools eluded us today.  Have a good thanksgiving. We will be back on the hunt Friday.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this morning with SDFR with an update from "the San Diego" out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we are back fishing at the Coronado Islands. We have 10 nice grade Yellowtail on the boat so far as of 10:55 AM. The fish are in the 15 to 23 pound size. The San Diego runs full day trips departing at 5:30 every morning!
