Captain Ryan Bositan checked in with an update tonight from the San Diego. Today we fished at the Coronado Islands. We had 18 anglers catch 2 Bluefin Tuna, 1 Sheephead, 7 Yellowtail, 6 Calico Bass, 90 Bonito, and 13 Rockfish. Check out the beautiful Sheephead we caught today that weighed in at 18 pounds.

Hi friends. We departed early this afternoon on an open party two-day trip with a nice load of folks hoping to find themselves on some gamefish come Saturday. We have a lot of new folks on this trip and a lot of familiar faces joining us for the weekend, so we're pumped. Our gameplan is to run a little below the area we were fishing on Thursday as there were some schools of Bluefin seen and we'll try our luck at some kelp paddies as well. Anyhow, our weather is very pleasant and our passengers are in good spirits and we'll be fishing at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning, Hopefully, we'll awake to a big ole, fat school under the boat, ready to eat. The season's fourth 300-pound tuna arrived November 29 aboard Polaris Supreme with owner-skipper Tom Rothery at the helm as the 90-footer docked at Fisherman's Landing. The trip was 13 days for the boat and ten for the anglers who flew home from Cabo, and was sponsored by Rothery's partner Tom Pfleger, who heads PIER (Pfleger Institute of Environmental Research). A small group of 14 anglers including Pfleger was aboard.

We are underway in gorgeous weather. Our bait we picked up at the receiver is perfect 6-8 " sardines. We have eight anglers on board. George, Craig, Al, Bobby, Scott, Sheridan, Tom, and Roger. Our crew is Captains tommy, Drew and Kevin. Our deck crew is Mike, Dave and Perry, and our chef is Javier. All the boys are napping right now after a delicious chicken breast with plum sauce for lunch. We will be traveling for at least two days before we start fishing, so don't expect anything but naps, rigging and food reports for the next few days. Hope you all had a great Christmas!

The Voyager is starting its winter time mexican coast fishing on the 10th of december!! We will be doing a 1.5 day down to colnett. The ticket price is $175 food, permit, fuel are extra. 16 passengers max load. Boat departs at 5:00pm on the 9th, and returns at 6:00am on the 11th. Contact Jodie at 858-220-1593
