Hi friends. Not much going on with us as the fishing definitely fell flat on it's face down here today. We're currently traveling up the line to fish a little closer to home as a few boats had some good days on bluefin and yellowfin tuna. Rumor has it, the choppers and moppers are on their way to do just that; chop up and mop up this area. Sad face. We're hoping to get in there and pick off a school before the boys in blue do and then we're going to have to book it for home. Take care and wish us lots of luck.

Hello everyone, Today we weeded through a lot of small Yellowfin Tuna for a few premium models, from 20-40 lbs! It was tough weeding through the little ones to get to the keeper tuna. There was some nice Snowy Grouper mixed in as well. A nice Tuna/Grouper combo. We decided to head offshore around lunch time in search of kelp patties. We found one kelp that was absolute chaos. It was as fast as you could catch for a while. A beautiful Dorado bite to get everyone fired up. A few lucky anglers were lucky enough to catch some Wahoo on the kelp as well. Today we had a good morning hit on the better grade tuna. Once the sun came up the tuna were still there and biting, but the skip jack moved in as well. Eventually it settled into a pick on the great grade tuna through the skip jack. We also had some Grouper and large Yellowtail mixed in. We will be in search of Wahoo tomorrow.

We have only 5 spots remaining on our June 1-6, 5.5 day trip! This trip is limited to only 18 passengers and is filling quickly!! Trip departs at 6pm May 31st, and returns 6am on June 6th. We will be fishing Cedros and Benitos targeting Yellowtail and calico bass. As well as fishing offshore for those early season bigger bluefin tuna! Ticket cost is $1300 per person. Today we arrived to the grounds late. We were looking around for wahoo a little after noon. We only scraped up one Wahoo. However around 4pm we got the anchor down and started catching some great quality Tuna. 18-25lbs with the 30-40 lbers making a showing in the mix as well. Very clean tuna fishing here today. Hopefully we can get these Wahoo figured out tomorrow. Here we Have Bryan and Wai Hung Man showing off their quality tuna.

We have to fill this Oct 5-day. All season long I here everyone asking how they can get on one of our 10 passenger Guadelupe trips. Well here it is. I have 2 spots open on what is really a 5.5 day trip to Guadelupe with only 10 people on the Apollo. The trip departs on the morning of Oct 1rst at 9am. and returns mid morning on the 6th. $1800 covers all meals and permits. This trip is a charter and if you are a part of it now chances are you'll be invited on many other trips with this group in the future. Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an announcement. We have finished our boat work and will be running our first trip on Saturday, February 3rd. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands. However, we will be looking around and will be targeting the best opportunities. During the beginning of the fishing season it is very important to make an advanced reservation. We had great marlin fishing all morning long. Midday we went in search of wahoo but had no luck. While the weather was good this morning it turn rough this afternoon. Dinner tonight was a delicious salmon steak.
