We got limits of Dorado and 90 Yellowfin Tuna for our 21 anglers.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-09-2019 This morning the bite started out early. We caught quite a bit of variety, an Amoco Jack, sum Pargo, an Amberjack, and the yellowfin tuna were still present! As daylight came around the skipjack slowly took over but not before we made a nice day out of it on yellowfin tuna with a few Wahoo sprinkled in. Guys are having a great time and our weather is beautiful. The Polaris supreme crew!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 12-03-2018 So that nasty old wind is gone! It's only about 2 to 5 kn between Guadalupe and Ensenada right now. I hear you guys have another storm coming in to California on Tuesday! Hopefully that won't bring the wind and swell for our ride home on Thursday night through Saturday morning! Oh yeah fishing! Fishing was good today, it started off at sun up and continued into the dark. It was kind of a steady pick all day except for a little lullishness during mid day. Our big fish today was around 110 pounds. Most of the other ones were in the 70 to 90 pound range. The hot stick still continues to be 50 or 60 pound Spectra/Mono/some guys are using floral carbon with a 3/0 hooked. The sharks continue to be absent and we don't miss them one bit. We will be here again tomorrow hoping for another big day! The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Polaris Supreme Report 07-22-2016 Happy Friday everyone! We elected to stay the night at the same place as yesterday, in hopes of another action packed day of yellowtail fishing . We got the anchor down and started fishing around 5:30, to stage ourselves for the morning hit. As the misty morning came upon us we began to hook some nice yellowtail. We were finally starting to hit our stride when the fish quit biting. As the sky cleared it seemed as the yellows did too. We tried several spots that amounted to a slow pick throughout the day. Unfortunately we finished off the day without the wall to wall action yellowtail hit we were hoping for. However we still scratched up some quality fish. We feel very fortunate to have had such a great day of fishing yesterday. After fishing hard into the early afternoon we finally set a course for Point Loma to and wrap up this great 5 day trip. We have smooth sailing for the ride up and are looking at 7:00 am at the dock. We currently have a four day online departing August 2nd that still has a couple openings. After 6 months of fishing in the deep end it was nice to shut the main engines off and enjoy the world famous Coronado Islands. I have always felt that it takes 3 days or 3 really good boats to give the islands a proper check. Today was day one of putting the puzzle together. 1 yellowtail, plenty of bonito and rockfish. A 40 lb rod, a few yoyo jigs and an assortment of torpedo sinkers.

Nov. 19

Good evening once again everyone. Well, we broke up the day this morning with a couple hours worth of fishing. Unfortunately we didn't catch much but we were due to travel all day today but we had an hour or two to spare so we took it. The weather has breezed up for sure. It is a bit of a bumpy ride but it's not horrable. We only had one other day of windy weather the whole trip so we'll take it. In a whole it was a rather slow trip. We did catch a lot of big beautiful dorado and we can't complain at all about the amount of wahoo we caught or the amount of tuna we caught either for that matter. We lacked on the larger sized tuna and we didn't connect with the yellowtails on the way home either but hey, you've heard this before, "that's fishing". I hope and I think I can speak for everyone on board and say we had a great ten days out here. I said it in my first report and I'll say it again, I love this group. This is not your mystery passenger Ed writing to you but your captain/ co-captain/ deckhand Drew writing this and I'll write this on behalf of all the crew members abourd the Polaris Supreme, thank you charter heads Lon and John and thank you to all who joined us.

I would also just like to thank all who came out fishing with us this year and in years past. You are what allows us to do what we love to do and what allows us to pay our bills and raise families doing what we love to do so unfortunately, for the last time this year, we all say THANK YOU and we'll hopefully see you next year!

"Just what we had hoped for!" reported Owner-Skipper Tommy Rothery aboard the Polaris Supreme November 26. "We had a really fun day on some of the bigger grade yellowfin. We landed nine fish over 100-pounds. Charlie got one at 213-pounds and Gunnar, one of our first timers, got the biggest one for the day that weighed in at 230 pounds. He did it all by himself from start to finish. And by the way, he is only eleven years old. He also landed another one that was well over 100 pounds. Our weather is fantastic. We are hoping for another fun day tomorrow."
