another trip to laguna, part cloudy and chill. didn’t get much at first, but then I switched to a topwater lure and BAM! two nice bass in quick succession! around 3 lbs each. love the thrill of the topwater hits, feels epic!
partly cloudy and breezy but I went for it anyway. hooked a 6 lb bass, biggest one I’ve caught here! my buddy was with me and he caught another 4 lb bass. we were stoked! using a crankbait, it was just magic today. good times!
today was a bit of a gamble with the patchy rain but wow was it worth it! landed 5 bluegill, all around 1-1.5 lbs. used a small bobber and worms, classic. they were biting like crazy, just couldn’t keep them off the hook!
overcast day but that didn’t stop me! got there early, around sunrise, and got a nice crappie on a jig. only one but it was a solid 2 lbs. sometimes it’s just about enjoying the calmness out there, you know?
decided to brave the rain today, and guess what? sweet success! caught a few decent catfish, maybe 3-4 lbs each. used some stinky chicken liver; they couldn’t resist! felt like a champ out there, rain or shine!
