Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-18-2016 Hello Everyone, Today we had a fantastic day of offshore fishing! We got on a school of big yellowfin that bit all day! The best part was the grade, an average of 50 to 80 lb fish! Amazing to have such good size biting fish in striking range from San Diego in California waters. We had a blast today bringing these fish aboard. Many people finished the day with their personal best tuna in the hold! The hot ticket was a good fresh flylined bait, and in the afternoon we hit our stride with balloon fishing. The balloon was deadly during the latter part of the afternoon. We are excited to get back at it and try again tomorrow morning. Wish us luck! Tight lines, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-22-2018 Our efforts they were directed at catching Wahoo ! The few we landed were all off shore on kelp patties. We had beautiful weather most of the day. Tomorrow's efforts will be directed at a variety with tuna being the main target. The Polaris Supreme Crrew!

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

23 yellowtail and plenty of bottom grabbers. Full sized yo-yo jigs on 40-50lb line worked best.

Hello Everyone, Today we split the day between Yellowtail fishing and Bluefin Tuna prospecting. We managed to get a handful of good size yellows before we headed offshore in search of Bluefin. We managed to find some nice schools of Bluefin. However they did not bite as good as we had hoped. We had a few hits but nothing wide open. At least they are here and willing to bite a little. We will be trying this again tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Wow! What a fish. #214 Bluefin. Landed in less than an hour. Accurate Valiant 1000 and Shimano Rail Rod on #100. Dead Flyer. Had a few Yellowtail and a Yellowfin as well. 

Capt. Jodie called in with this trip announcement for the Apollo. "We have an overnight trip leaving from Sea Landing this Saturday night, fishing on Sunday. The cost is $145, we will be targeting White Seabass. If you are interested in this trip give me qa call at 805-963-3564.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-18-2016 Good evening everyone and thanks for checking in. Today was another gorgeous travel day into the lower latitudes. The weather just just about picture perfect all day long. As normal on these longer trips, Mike prepares a little bit of a later breakfast and shortly after the crew puts on our detailed fishing tackle seminar. There is a lot to go over to get the guys tuned up on the wide variety for fishing we might encounter. Being that there's so many different things we might see, we can't leave any stone unturned, especially for the guys that either haven't been on the Supreme or just haven't been on a longer trip at all. It's very important we have everyone dialed in and on the same page. The rest of the day was rather casual, a lot of rigging, crimping leaders, setting up jigs and just making sure all of the gear is fine tuned,. Once we got everyone tuned up the afternoon closed out with movies, naps reading books and just enjoying a nice ride down. Tomorrow we'll start off with some offshore style fishing and continue to make our plan for the rest of the trip.  And we're off again.  This time for 8 days.  We got a pretty good jump at things today.  We cleared the point at lunch time which keeps our options open on where we can fish tomorrow and the next day.  I'm still not sure where we'll be tomorrow.  I may not be sure until I wake up in the morning and look at the hurricane coming up from below the cape.  As it's forecasted now, it's definitely going to effect our decisions on where we'll fish this trip and when.  But don't worry at home, we'll keep a safe distance from the dangerous winds at all times.  Find out tomorrow where I decided to start fishing.
