Ryan Bostian called in at the end of the day to update the San Diego's fishing day, "We had 16 fish real early in the morning. We had another good shot at them in the afternoon, we ended up with 29 Yellowtail on the boat. This style of fishing and this size of fish I would say that we are landing about half of the fish that we hook. We did lose several of them today, but that is just the name of the game when you are fishing this size fish. It seems that some days we are fishing 15 to 20 pounders. And other days we are fishing 20 to 30 pounders. Today was definitely the nicer grade of fish. I'd say the future looks bright at Coronado Islands as long as the water doesn;t do something wierd and get cold and dirty. There seems to be plenty of Yellowtail around. Just about everywhere we see some sign of fish. Some days they bite, some days they do not. Man they are definitely in the area and I expect this spring is only going to get better for us.

Come down with some 25 or 30 lb. and some 2/0 hooks, bring a yoyo rod just in case and you will be good to go."

After 6 months of fishing in the deep end it was nice to shut the main engines off and enjoy the world famous Coronado Islands. I have always felt that it takes 3 days or 3 really good boats to give the islands a proper check. Today was day one of putting the puzzle together. 1 yellowtail, plenty of bonito and rockfish. A 40 lb rod, a few yoyo jigs and an assortment of torpedo sinkers.

We just got a report from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay.    We have 40 Yellowtail on the boat so far today for our 37 anglers. Check out the our latest photo from yesterday!

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP UPDATE 09-27-2020 We had a good day scratching at small grade Yellows and Tuna with a few grouper thrown in. We are off to look for premium Yellowtail tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

4th of July action! 38 passengers 6 yellowtail 149 barracuda 7 kelp bass. Very good action all around the islands today. Fly lined sardines and surface lures were the best today. Come on down and see us the weather is flat calm.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-19-2016 #1 Our morning is starting off okay here we have a beautiful sunrise and the few Wahoo to start off our day. The Polaris Supreme Crew.

We still have lots of daylight left and are looking for more, we do some room on upcoming trips. This week had both the best and worst that the Coronado islands have to offer. The highlight of the week was on Tuesday as 20 anglers caught 54 yellowtail. Wednesday saw 65 anglers capture 31 yellowtail. Thursday thru Sunday is when the weather started to turn and as a result the fishing. The past couple of trips we have seen a few schools but they have not been biting at all. Starting this Thursday (18th) the weather is forecasted to get nicer and we have our fingers crossed that the yellows will start to bite again.
