Hello everyone, Yesterday we departed on our annual AHI charter. These guys are hyped up for the possibility of Wahoo and the other species that may be in store. So today we are spending the day getting ready for everything that may be thrown at us during the upcoming days. We are excited for tomorrow, Team Supreme

Saturday, July 14th, 2012

Good evening everyone. We departed earlier this evening for our second annual Optima charter with Garth and his best of buddies. We loaded up on some bait that doesn't look all that stellar but maybe after it settles down, they'll turn into some champions. Anyhow, we're on our way down to try our hand at some Bluefin tuna offshore and some Yellowtail on kelps. Apparently, the Yellowtail are growing a little bit, if you can locate the right kelp as one of our code boats did, and caught some 'tails in the 15-22 lb. range. Regardless, we'll be looking first thing tomorrow morning and we'll try to make a day of it. Our weather is beautiful and we're looking for more. Wish us luck.

 

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an update from The San Diego. We had 144 Yellowfin Tuna and 70 Dorado! The fish were not full speed. It was a pick all day. Today we spent our day offshore looking for kelps. We had outstanding fishing on the smaller Yellowfin Tuna even though we released most of them.Our main target today was trying to find some Dorado, and a couple kelps had just what we needed. We ended up with with an action packed day of quality Dorado and small Yellowfin fishing. A great way to end the trip. full of action and a few bigger fish.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing out of Mission Bay, CA. We are still trophy fishing! We caught a 132 pound Bluefin Tuna. We had 9 Bluefin Tuna (one at 132, a 101, 7 of them at 75 pounds). We had two over 100 pounds that pulled the hook at color.

Traveling today in great weather. Lunch is sweet and sour pork with Hawaiian fried rice. Dinner is shrimp Diablo. You're not getting the breakfast report because I usually skip breakfast. We will be fishing again tomorrow morning. Come on cows!
