Hello Everyone, Today we had an nice hit on Wahoo. They were big beautiful fish. We managed to get everyone a Wahoo. Along with Wahoo we had some nice Dorado, Tuna, and even a Pargo mixed in. The conditions are really looking up around here! We will be working up trying for Yellowtail Tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme P.S. Polaris Supreme arrived June 10 after a five-day trip. Owner-skipper Tom Rothery docked the boat at Fisherman's Landing and weighed the best of the catch. "We fished open water and found a new albacore area," he said at the scales. "We fished our first night out, and got a few. The albacore bit good, and we also got some nice yellowtail off kelps. On our first half-day of fishing we had an excellent bite on albies of 30 to 40 pounds." Chartermaster Paul Hess of Napa won first place for his 42.4-pound albacore, which set a new high mark for the species this season. He said he bagged it with a sardine on a 3/0 Eagle Claw hook tied to 30-pound Yo-Zuri line on a Trinidad 16 reel and a Calstar 800 M rod. Brian Schwartz of Napa won second place for a 40.8-pounder, and Casey Weaver of Woodland took third for a 40.6-pound albacore. "He came in after 15 minutes," said Hess. "It was a standard albacore deal."

We departed today with Chaparro's annual lite load charter. This is his 10th year! A fun group as always and the guys are anxious to get their lines wet. We got a nice load of bait and headed out west looking for albacore and yellowfin with only a few landed.

There were plenty of seiners. Our weather continues to be good. As we dine on steak and lobster we are looking forward to tomorrow to do some kelping. Our web master who handles all our updates will be out fishing himself for the next few days, so there won't be any reports posted until Thursday. Give Susan a call if you have any questions. 18 yellowfin tuna 13 skipjack. Unfortunately all of the fish we found were in the vicinity of bait. Tuna that have not eaten for a few hours are much easier to catch than tuna that are gorging themselves on anchovies.

Hi friends. A wrap-up of our full day and a morning down here is one that makes any angler giddy. One reason and one reason only can draw out the best and worst in some anglers -- wahoo. We had some of the better wahoo fishing we've had in a few years that I can remember and as the day progressed, they just kept getting bigger. We had ourselves a really fun day down here and in the afternoon time, we had a pretty decent sign of that better tuna, boiling mere feet from the boat rambled up some excitement in us.

Two problems. One, was the lack of current. Two, was the sharks. We had to get creative to hook one and you had to, as Drew puts it "leave your purses in your staterooms" and pull on those fish. Drew had to eventually lead by example and landed a beauty of a tuna on a scad chunk. Inspirational. Although, we only landed one tuna of size that evening, the wahoo bite from the hours prior really had spirits high. We tried to repeat our catch this morning but it was clear that we did a good job of catching the ones that were here. Hopefully, a few more nests move in for our code boat to experience the same type of fishing we had.

At around 1000 hours, we had to begin our journey home that will take us a full day and a half. Normally, I'd be somewhat pumped for travel days but I finished Suzanne Collins "The Hunger Games" too quick (my goodness, Katniss, love Peeta!) and the second book of the trilogy isn't on the boat (damn you, Shawn!). Kinnicut has the third but I hear that the third one is lame. Ugh, rather than reading a good book and napping, I'll just have to do some work to pass the time.

With that, our weather was beautiful all day but is now a little windy and bouncy. Nothing crazy, it's no bronzing weather though. Can't have flat calm and sunny for a week straight, I guess. We'll report our ETA tomorrow night. See ya.

P.S. Before I go, I have a couple of things that I learned today, thanks to Gunny.

1) Gunny is deathly afraid of crocodiles and alligators.

2) Every black man in horror movies dies first. Gunny has strong evidence to support this. I had no idea.

We departed today on the Davis Construction annual private charter. This year there are six lucky individuals who were invited to go, with Jim and Gunnar being the new guys. We loaded up at the bait receivers with some excellent bait, and headed down south in beautiful, flat calm weather. Everyone is excited at the prospects that lie ahead. We dined on a great barbecued pork tenderloin for lunch and just enjoyed the company and the smooth ride.

 Good evening friends from the bridge of the Polaris Supreme. I'd like to start with a little recap of the Gary Roberts 9 day trip. What an epic trip! We really did cover all the grounds you cover on a 9 day and boated all the species that we were looking for. Although we didn't get the numbers on the dorado that we were looking for, we more than made up for it in wahoo and tuna counts. I really think Drew did an exceptional job of trip planning with avoinding any bad weather and putting us in position for the best fishing we could possibly have. I don't recall the last time in my 9 years on the boat that we've had that consistant fishing for the "skinny's" as we did. The guys fished hard and were rewared for there efforts. We ended the last couple days of the trip at the tuna grounds to pick up a handful of quality bluefin to settle jackpot and all you could eat beautiful grade of yelloefin tuna from 20-40 lbs. What an awesome 9 day! We really missed you this year Gary and look forward to seeing you back next year with the same group of awesome guys you bring out year after year.
 We also departed this morning on our 6th annual 5 day trip with Robin Gledhill and his Blue-White Industries charter. We are always excited to have these guys out with us. It's quite the unique trip with a special menu, different types of wine every night depending on the dinner all the way to our fancy dinner attire consisting of the classic tuxedo t-shirts! Love it! You never know what Robin is going to bring to the table. We started offshore looking around on the tuna grounds to get the lines wet, didn't find much to start, but fishing the first day of a 5 day is a bonus anyway. Tomorrow at the crack of light and get this party started. The weather looks great so far and looks just as good for the next few days, so let's hope the weather man is telling the truth.
 It's almost that time to head downstairs for some grilled pork chops and the wine of the night Chalk Hill Chardonnay, for the passengers of course. Robin also wants to send a shout out to Janet, Taylor who couldn't join us this year because him and his wife are due to have a little one any day now, and all of the rest of his friends and family that are tuning in over the next 5 days.
