bad weather messed up my plans at lake john today. rain and wind were brutal. only managed to stick it out for a couple hours, didn’t catch anything. was hoping for some crappie action but no dice. gonna wait for the sun to come back before I head out again.

ugh, rain today at lake john. not what I planned, lost my motivation after the first hour. tried for catfish but didn’t even get a nibble. water was choppy and just cold! packed up early and went for coffee instead. need better luck next time!

went out on may 23, weather was decent, a bit cloudy. managed to catch a decent pike, about 4lbs! used a jerk bait, got lucky near the weed beds. had a couple of snags, lost some gear but hey, that’s fishing right? overall a solid day, even saw a deer near the shore!

fished lake john on a partly cloudy day. water was cold and wind was annoying at times, caught 2 bass tho. used a jig and just hung out mostly. had a few bites but no big ones today. still good to be out there, I love fishing no matter the catch!

what a day! went to lake john and the sun was shining. landed 4 nice trout, all around 3lbs each. spinnerbaits were the ticket today, fishing around rocks and brush. wind picked up but it was perfect for casting. can’t wait to go back again, feeling lucky!
