23 pass. 75 yellowfin tuna from 12-20 lbs. please bring a 20 lb bait rod a 30 lb bait rod. An optional 4th outfit should be a 40 lb rod to fish an 80-100 gram colt sniper.

We departed yesterday on the annual Jeff Hall 5-day trip yesterday and pointed it straight for Cedros. We arrived this afternoon and our first anchor job produced about an hour of yellowtail fishing before the bite sizzled away. Checked a couple other spots for not very much before it got dark. We're going to stay the night and spend a full day here tomorrow and take it from there.

Our big one from yesterday. We had a good opportunity in first thing in the morning unfortunately mid day was tough. We saw plenty of fish but just couldn’t get them to work, Back out Wednesday night !

Today was a tough day. The fish were there and the conditions were good, the fish were just less eager. Everyone was on the right program when it came to hustling the fish in to avoid the sharks. So the opportunities we did have we were able to capitalize on. Pictured here are fishing buddies Sean with Mark, and Dennis with Travis showing off their captures! Good going guys!

The Apollo fished at San Miguel Island today for limits of Rockfish and 18 lings plus one nigh Halibut. The SFR Apollo trip is scheduled for next weekend. We are a go and only have 7 spots as of the time of this post. Sign up now by clicking on fishing trips.

Where'd they go?? We got a few wahoo today, but nothing like yesterday. Our day consisted of scratching away at yellowfin, yellowtail, pargo, dorado, and wahoo on some different spots. Don't get me wrong. It was not a bad day fishing, just not like yesterday. Our weather is still good. Actually it's too hot, the water is 83 degrees. Not bad for the fish, but warm for us. Tomorrow we will be off shore kelping for wahoo, dorado and tuna until it's time to head home and wind up this fantastic trip. It's going to be a great fall season. Thanks for checking in. Well the fishing is not red hot but the grade is for sure bigger. We had many Yellowfin Tuna today that are over 100 lbs. Incredible grade. There is lots of life here and we have another day to see if they really want to bite. Wish us luck! Here we have Mike Grella with a well earned Guadalpe Tuna. Also we have Richard with his big tuna well over 100lbs caught on a Penn senator reel! Holy cow Richard you sure do like a challenge! Good job though!
