finally, a sunny day on May 21! caught 7 trout with a new fly rod I bought. it was about 9C but felt great in the sun. the fish were biting like crazy, tossed back some small ones but kept a few for dinner. best day this month, can't wait to go back!
heavy rain again on May 20, not a great day for fishing. only caught some small perch and was soaked to the bone, gear got wrecked lol. but sometimes just being out there is enough, right? next time I'll check the forecast before heading out!
May 18 was a bit rough with the downpour, only got one little fish, but hey, at least I tried! felt like a lake monster was watching me tho. wind was wild, but I did use a heavier line which helped keep me steady. going back soon when it dries up!
what a day on May 14! heavy rain all day but surprisingly good fishing. I managed to snag 2 big bass (biggest one was like 5lbs). using a green jig and it was like they couldn’t resist! just me and the rain, felt amazing to be out there
May 11, went out even with the rain, caught 4 trout but man it was a struggle. I used some bright lures to stand out and it worked! Rain didn’t stop me, just made it more of an adventure. gear was soaked but so worth it. we even saw a moose on the shore!
