Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-11-2019 Great day fishing today! Glad we made the move. Big variety day for us today, but the grouper stole the show. We caught plenty of yellowfin tuna yellowtail and then a variety pack of Wahoo grouper etc. we have at least two grouper in the 60 to 70 pound range. Killing it on the weather still and off to spend tomorrow looking for yellowtail. Loving Life:) The Polaris supreme crew!

Hello Everyone, We had a great first day of fishing. Full of variety and excitement. Today we mainly caught school sized Yellowfin Tuna and Yellowtail. However there were some Nice Dorado and Grouper mixed in as well. There is a lot of skipjack and small tuna bi catch, but we are able to weed through it for the keeper fish. Tomorrow we will have our sights set on Wahoo and Tuna. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Fall Fishing Season doesn't get any better.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. Today we had Mexican limits of Yellowtail for our 37 anglers. We have been fishing offshore and the fish are a fun grade. Please bring your 25 or 30 pound bait rod. You should also be prepared with a heavy rod for bigger Bluefin Tuna. We are starting to see them show up in the counts. Tomorrow's trip is cancelled but we will be back out it Tuesday.

19 Bluefin Tuna in the 80-120 lb. range. Few openings left this month, get booked now, so you don't miss out.April has 8 openings on if you want to come on that and then we have some open a day and half for the trip. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-09-2016 Hello and good evening fisherman. Its not just a tough day for the Polaris Supreme but its a tough day for the fleet. We started our morning by slowly picking away at the yellowtail. It wasn't just tough to get bit but it was even harder to keep your fish from going into the nasty rocks. We then decided to switch to plan B and explore some uncharted waters for the rest of our day. We ended up bring aboard a handful of small yellowtail and dorado. We are now heading to an area where we will be targeting white seabass and premium sized yellowtail. We should be arriving there a few hours before gray light. Tight lines, Team Supreme

This past week was all about yellowtail and warm water. 40 - 115 yellowtail per trip with a sprinkling of dorado sums up the past week. I attached a photo of the terrafin chart for our area to show you guys all the warm water. Anything over 70 degrees is considered warm and as you can tell we have plenty of it. As a matter of fact finding the cooler water has actually been the key to catching these yellowtail. The most common question this week was "when are the yellowfin going to show up". While I don't have a crystal ball to tell you exactly when they are going to show up. I can tell you that they have made a major northern movement over the past week and there has been yellowfin tuna caught as close as 60 miles. We had an awesome 1.5 trip on the Apollo out of Fisherman's Landing. We left Friday night at 7 pm and headed to Punta Colnett. Weather was very nice, calm and glassy. We started fishing for Yellowtail in the early morning but no biter. We preceded fishing for Rockfish. We drifted every hot spots that Captain JJ knew and they were all very productive. We came up with lots of good quality Vermilion Reds, Lingcod and Bocaccio Rockfish. At about 3 in the afternoon, Yellowtail breezers came through and all six of us got hooked with our rockcod gangnion hooks. We ended with two 25 lbs Yellows. Next time I'll be ready. We fished until almost dark and we bagged 125 Vermillion Reds, 98 Rock cod, 25 Lingcod and 2 Yellowtail for 25 guys. Captain JJ runs a top notch operation together with Jessica, Joe, Travis and Chef Nick. They were all very professional and helpful at all times. Chef Nick serves all variety of gourmet food on the boat. Apollo will be still running trips in Fisherman's Landing until end of March and will move to Santa Barbara on April.
