haulover Fishing Report 2024

Captain Ryan Bostian called in the evening. Today we had 61 Yellowtail. The fishing down there at the Coronado Islands is phenomenal. We have been catching between 50 and 178 Yellowtail per day. They are biting on all techniques: Yoyo fishing, Fly-lined Sardines, and Surface Iron too. Captain Ryan Bostian checked in with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today we had 23 passengers catch 29 Bonito (8 to 10 pound class), 26 Lingcod and 85 Rockfish.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-23-2018 We got out early today and were in the local yellowfin tuna grounds by one p.m. We saw of plenty kelp's and several sonar schools of yellowfin tuna, It just didn't want to cooperate. Their where some great scores out here today for a few the boats and we're excited to try this again tomorrow and hopefully get in on the morning bite. The tuna we caught were absolutely beautiful grade! The Polaris supreme crew!

Another slow day at the islands coupled with a great catch from our code boat Liberty has resulted in us switching our run back to offshore fishing. November is the new September, Viva El Niño

The day started in the dark with some great fishing on quality yellowtail. After daybreak we still had good fishing on the school grade yellowtail with an 18 lb. average until noontime. And then the afternoon took a powder and we couldn't find anything to catch. The weather offshore is rough but we are hiding behind an island and are in good weather. Captain Aliyar called in with us today from the Polaris Supreme:

We are on our way home after a 1.5 Day with excellent Bluefin fishing. We have limits of Bluefin Tuna up to 115 pounds with the majority in the 40-50 pound range. We had a stop last night in the dark and caught 30 Bluefin with the flat falls.

We have a bunch of 1.5 Day trips and 3 Day trips open for April.

Next open party trip departs on Sunday, April 11th at 7PM for a 1.5 Day trip.
