Today was spent traveling in good, but foggy weather. Basically we just rigged tackle and ate a bacon, avocado, sprout omelet for breakfast. Rigged more gear and had a giant Texas cheeseburger for lunch. Rigged more gear then snacked on salmon, tuna, shrimp and eel sushi and sashimi. Rigged more gear and finished off the day with a beef tenderloin with a tomato, basil pesto sauce. Just rigging and eating and anxious to get to the fishing grounds!

Jodie Morgan called in with this report for the Apollo out of Fisherman's Landing. "We have limits of Yellowtail, averaging about 24 lbs. We have also caught 1 Bluefin Tuna. We are on a 1 Day trip. It is beautiful weather.

Yesterday we had good fishing on wahoo in the morning and excellent fishing on tuna in the afternoon. The average weight on the tuna ranged from 45-70 lbs. Our weather is still good. Chef Tommy put out some great meals again. Lunch yesterday was yellowtail served over fresh spinach, surrounded by black beans with a spicy avocado cilantro sauce. And dinner was cornish game hens topped with a spicy apricot sauce on wild rice with grilled asparagus on the side. Fishing this morning has started off again with wahoo biting and this afternoon we will fish the tuna again. Today we spent the day trying for Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna. It was a grind but we were able to catch some Yellowtail, great grade Tuna, and some Wahoo. Not the red hot bite that we were hoping for but still a good time none the less. We also had to make bait tonight. It went great. Lots of mackerel came aboard and we have plenty to fish with. We will try it again tomorrow for the hoos and Tuna. Pictured here is Mick with a large Yellowtail and crewmen Jake (the Snake) and Morgan doing some shaking in the wee hours of the morning.

Today was a bust for us in the yellowtail grounds. We arrived pre daylight and Tommy stopped on some yellows so we fished it in the dark and fished it in the light for nothing. We looked around after that and all the key ingredients were there. Bait life, bird life, and schools of yellowtails were all around but it wouldn't go. Just a handful of bites. After giving it a few hours to get with it for not a whole lot we decided not to hang out and burn a day doing it. We're on the move to the wahoo grounds. We're ready for them too. We did the wahoo seminar and everyone spent the afternoon rigging up wire leaders for the toothy fish. We'll be where we'll be at or soon after daylight and we're hoping for some wahoo action. If not wahoo let's hope we can get some action on the tuna,pargo and yellowtails. Let's also hope for low wind velocity. It was getting pretty windy this afternoon and it's currently traveling faster down then we are.

Hello Everyone, We just returned from our annual Steele 5 day charter. Hosted of course by the one and only Archie Steele. Two things come to mind when this trip rolls around, central valley anglers that love to put fish on the boat and a whole slew of summer produce that we don't normally get our hands on. Yellow Peaches and Asparagus aside we rolled into the yellowtail zone bright and early. There was good sign there and we began fishing. To our pleasant surprise we began landing beautiful 15-20lb yellowfin tuna! A welcome sight, especially because the average size recently was on the smaller side. As we settled in the Yellows got on us pretty good. Helping get the rust off for most of these anglers. Around late morning our current died and we went into a sort of midday lul. We were still able to hang a fish every now and then but not like before. Thankfully it did fire up again around 330, and this time it was hot and heavy. Very steady yellow tail action, had one going the whole time with flurries of 5-7 at a time. All large 20-28lb beautiful yellowtail. Couldn't ask for a better average! We spent the latter part of the trip trying to top off our yellowtail counts and also catch a few exotics. We spent the day searching high and low for Yellows and Dorado. Never got the boomer hit that we were hoping for but we were able to scratch up a handful of Dorado and some more great sized yellowtail. That concluded our five day adventure. Good fishing on great sized Yellowfin tuna, Yellowtail, and Dorado. A great variety trip that kept us on our feet the whole time. Id like to thank Archie again for putting this trip together and look forward to fishing again next year. We are headed out today for five. Will report again soon, Team Supreme
