hey everyone, awesome day out on the Detroit River! got out there around 6am, it was sunny and perfect temp, felt like summer finally! I was targeting walleye and used a jig with a nightcrawler. boom, first cast I got a nice 24 inch walleye! was stoked. ended up catching 4 more throughout the morning, all between 20-25 inches. wind picked up a bit but it didn’t bother me much. even saw some folks catching pike, but I stayed focused on the walleye. can’t wait to hit it again soon, maybe try some crankbaits next time. happy fishing y’all!
