We now have the Apollo in beautiful Santa Barbara for the rest of the spring. We are running two Berkley sponsored limited load overnight trips to the Channel Islands. The first trip will depart on Thursday night April 19th at 9 pm to fish on Friday April 20th. The second trip will depart at 9 pm on Thursday night May 17th to fish Friday May 18th. These trips will target Quality Rockfish, ling cod with the chance for some early season halibut or sea bass. Please come join us on the Apollo in Santa Barbara for some fun spring time fishing. Hello everyone, Today we had an exciting day of catching Bluefin Tuna and BIG Yellowtail. The Yellowtail mainly came on big Greenback Mackerel we caught ourselves. They were bruisers, once you were bit you had to pull as hard as you could to get them out of the rocks. We had many casualties but the fish we landed were very large. We are looking to try again for these Yellowtail tomorrow before looking offshore for a bigger grade of tuna. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Hi friends. Yellowtail fishing was off the hook this morning -- or, on the hook, depending on which way you look at it. Fifteen to twenty-eight pound fish just kept coming over the rail and we also had a few flatheads as well. It was all you could've wanted on fly-lined sardines, yo-yo jigs, and surface jigs too but we only took a few boxes to break up the morning and from there, we ventured offshore with the hopes of finding something floating for dorado and wahoo.

Let me tell you, trying to locate kelps in eighty degree water is a difficult task and although we did get lucky and found a couple scraps, they weren't holding all that much. However, we did troll up a few legitimate ball-slappers, a marlin (healthy release), and one really nice wahoo at dusk caught by Mike Henry. His wahoo looks to be in the fifty to sixty pound range and he coaxed that fat skinny into latching onto a purple and black Marauder. Good going, Mike.

For tomorrow, we'll be fishing for all kinds of species but our main target is wahoo. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Our weather is just splendid and the all-day bronze-a-thon continues. I'm starting to look like Hulk Hogan out here. Supreme guns. Later.

"Here it is 10:30 in the morning and we already have 16 Yellowtail on the boat," said on an enthused Captain Ryan. He went on, "They seem to be biting a little bit here today. We're having a nice stop, we just gaffed one. Fly line baits are once again the way to go. 25 lb. test is what you should use. We've been seeing these fish down here, some of them bite, some do not. We've had a good shot at them this morning. We have 16 on the boat with 30 anglers. So it's a relatively light load for what we have been carrying. We've had some loads on here the last couple of weeks. The way I look at it, it is like a restaurant. You never want to eat at a restaurant that doesn't have any people at it.

"Come on down and join us. We go out every day, 5:30 AM we depart Seaforth Sportfishing. Bring a 25 lb. live bait rod, bring a 40 lb. rod to Yo-Yo with and you will be all geared up.
