hey y'all, fished destin surf today in that crazy rain. like, it was pouring for a good part of the morning but we pushed through! got out there at sunrise around 6ish, brought my trusty 7' spinning rod with some 20 lb braid and a few jigs. i swear the fish were loving the rain, caught a bunch of whiting and maybe 3 or 4 pompano, each about 2lbs. was super fun! wind picked up later too, had to brace myself against it but it was still worth it. even saw a couple of dolphins close to shore, so that was cool. planning to go again tomorrow if this rain lets up. tight lines, folks!
