felt good today at deshka! even with patchy rain, managed to land a couple of small kings. used my trusty old baitcaster with some salmon eggs. it was pretty chill and not much wind, so had a blast! ready for the next trip!
partly cloudy conditions today, way nicer than the last few days! got 4 nice sized trout, roughly 3 pounds each. used a bobber rig with some worms. was a chill day, perfect weather to enjoy the river. cheers to more days like this!
fished in patchy rain today, temp went up a bit! i was using a jig, and wow what a catch! pulled in a nice 8lb pike! was not expectin that. felt invigorated despite the drizzles, the fishing was good!
back at it today, got caught in a moderate rain while fishin at deshka. felt like giving up but then BOOM! a 6lb steelhead hit my spinner! it was a fight, but i landed it. that made up for the wet clothes! bring on the fish!
overcast skies today made it feel pretty cold, but i went down to the river for a few hours. caught 5 little trouts, nothing huge but fun to reel in! tried a few different flies, ended up with a yellow mayfly pattern that did the trick. gotta love the variety!
