Captian Ryan Bostian called in this evening with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. We had our first trip of the year today and we caught 42 Yellowtail (18 to 25 pounds). This was our first trip after doing a couple months of boat work. We did catch fish on using surface iron and yoyo too! If you plan on coming out on the San Diego please be prepared to fish both Surface Iron and Yoyo. You might also want to bring a bait stick too!

Scripps Ranch Old Pros charter. 42 anglers killed 400 beers, 3 yellowtail, 26 bonito, lots of shallow water rockfish. ‘‘Tis the season for mixed bag fishing and binge drinking in beautiful weather.

Captain Jodie Morgan called in from the Apollo to let us know they have 70 Bluefin Tuna (up to 50 pounds) as of 10:25 AM. The Apollo is one the first day of a two day trip. The Apollo is current booked solid with charters but we do sometimes help out charter masters with getting a few people. Today we had a great day of Wahoo fishing. The Wahoo were big and very eager when we got on them. The only thing that stopped the bite was the sun going down. Hopefully we can pick up right where we left off tomorrow. Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-31-2018

Great fishing and weather today. Our success ratio was absolutely phenomenal. The grade and quality of fish course as you can see is excellent. As always it was calm in the Lee of Guadalupe Island. But today there was also know wind . Were super excited for another day tomorrow like we had today. See you then!

The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Polaris Supreme returned from the Catchy Tackle open trip with 20 anglers on September 9. The boat docked under skipper Drew Henderson's hand at Fisherman's Landing after visiting Guadalupe, Alijos Rocks and The Ridge. "Gave it the full check today," wrote Drew September 4. "We only got a couple wahoo but it was great action on 20 to 30-pound yellows on the dropper loop and yo-yo iron. Anyone who fly lined a bait could expect to get a dorado; they were from 15 to 40 pound fish. Most were too busy with the yellows." Small tuna were a problem at times, said Henderson. Some nice pink pargo were encountered at Thetis Bank. Paul Adams of Cardiff won first place, for a 73-pound yellowfin. He said he caught that on eon a sardine, 2/0 ringed Super Mutu hook, 60-pound Ande line, a Penn 30 W reel and a Calstar 655 H rod. Bill Zemba of Castaic was second, for a 70-pounder, and Tim Williams of San Clemente won third place for a 69.8-pound tuna. Robert Johns of Kearney, MO stood in with his 38-pound dorado for the lineup shot.
