Delavan Lake Fishing Report

light rain shower while fishing today. wasn’t expecting much but ended up reeling in the biggest trout i’ve caught here, around 5lbs! used a bluegill as bait. totally stoked about that, even if it was a bit damp out. nothing beats the thrill of the catch, right!

back to delavan lake! it was cloudy and a bit chilly but caught 2 nice bass. one was like 3lbs! i used a plastic worm and had a few more bites but lost em. wish they’d stick around. still a fun day out. can’t get enough of this place!

tried again today, slight rain here and there but wasn't gonna let that stop me! caught 3 pike, nice ones too! used a crankbait and it worked well despite the weather. casted near the reeds and they were hitting hard. always love those sweet moments on delavan. :)

overcast day today, too chilly for my liking. only caught one small bass around 2lbs. honestly thought i was wasting my time. wind was kickin at 31kph so it felt even colder. just chilled by the water and thought about the next time i can go when it’s sunny again. sigh.

another day out at delavan, but man it was cold... 11.8C and rain on and off. managed to land a couple of sunnies but nothing big. thought i’d try some worms on the bottom, didn’t work as good as i hoped. better luck next time! fingers crossed for some sun.
