"Today we went offshore you know we have some political stuff going on at the Coronado Islands," said Ryan Bostian captain of the San Diego. "So we are fishing offshore for the time being. It looks like our timing was pretty darn good. Today we went out there and caught 15 Bluefin tuna and 13 Yellowtail. It's nice to be able to go out there on a 5:30 to 5:00 trip and catch exotics like Bluefin tuna. We had one really good shot at them. They were boiling on the corner.

"Most of our group today were beginner fishermen. If you are looking to join us for some offshore fishing our next Open Party trip is next Thursday. This Thursday we will be fishing Open Party, we will be on out offshore schedule. That means a 5:30 to 7:00 trip. The ticket price is $115 which includes your Mexican fishing license. We saw a good sign of Bluefin tuna. It seemed like every kelp paddy had a few Yellowtail on it, but we're mainly fishing the Bluefin out there. Some schools bite, some do not, but there are certainly plenty of them out there. If you'd like to join us please make reservations at 619-224-3383."

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-30 To 12-01-2018 Getting a little behind on the reports. This is our report for the 30th and the first. We departed Guadalupe and traveled all day on the 30th to Ensenada to check in. Our weather was pretty nasty but our ride was not that bad due to the fact that we headed straight in for Colnett on the coast and then turned up toward Ensenada after the weather got better. The port of Ensenada was closed due to weather so The Port Capt. had us all signed releases to allow us departure. The weather going up to San Diego was not that bad at all there was plenty of space between the swells and it was a pretty decent ride. We cleared San Diego customs around 5 AM and were unloading in San Diego by 530. What a absolute beautiful catch we had of that yellowfin tuna from the island. We did our usual quick turnaround and are out now on a seven-day OTR charter to Guadalupe. We did our check in at Ensenada and will be at the island around 230 tomorrow afternoon. Boats that are fishing there right now have excellent sign of 80 to 150 pound tuna. Wish us luck the Polaris Supreme Crew !

 It was a busy morning for us today but a kick back afternoon. For the second time this year we are not fishing on our departure day. We did the usual turn around throwing in an oil and fuel filter change. We offloaded, then onloaded and then we took off before lunch. The bait was OK. It looked great but lost some scales putting it in our tanks. We'll see how it likes 80+ degree water in a couple of days. I decided to skip this 30 mile yellowfin zone today and get down below while we have a window of good hurricaneless weather. There will be some wind the next couple of days everywhere but should come down nicely for a week or so everywhere if the forecast holds true. I'm still not sure where we're starting yet this trip. We'll either head straight to the rocks or drag our feet for a day and wait for the weather to get pristine. For now there is some napping going on and just some old fashioned kicking back. Something we haven't seen a whole lot of this year as it has been straight to fishing out of the gates.
 

Hello everyone Today we had a nice day of fishing. We were able to get a nice morning hit on these Bluefin Tuna. Today they were not only 20-40lbers. We hooked some larger models in the 80 lb range. We did not land them due to long battles on 20-25 lb test. At least we know they are here and ready to catch! We will be trying here tomorrow for one more day before the wind picks up. Hello Everyone, Today we had another nice day of fishing. We mainly focused on better quality fish today. We were very selective on the Tuna, Yellowtail, Dorado, Wahoo, Grouper and Pargo we tagged. There was lots of life around today, of all species. With the warm water fish in our holds we are headed up the line to look for bigger grade of Yellowtail. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Ryan Bostian called in with this report for the San Diego. "We went out on an offshore fishing trip with 18 anglers. We caught full Mexican limits of Yellowtail. We had limits real early in this trip. It took us 2 or 3 kelps to catch the limits. We spent the rest of the day looking around for Tuna or Dorado. We managed to catch 6 Dorado. We saw some Bluefin tuna but we were unable to get it to bite. Things are looking good down here guys. We're fishing 20 to 40 miles from home. The fishing action is right in our wheelhouse in terms of distance.

Hi Gang

There are now an even 50 of you on this update list plus 8 of our P.R. guys. Hopefully I will have it figured out so I can also send it from the boat starting next Friday when I get back on. It will be a different email address and going through the Sat phone address, so don't send me large files to the boat. Anyways, lets get at it.

Yesterday only one boat remained in the hot area in some pretty crappy weather, and to his credit he kicked the heck out of the bluefin and yellowfin. Equal scores of limits for each. Drew will be there early afternoon. The weather is beautiful again. And as we know these tunas REALLY want to bite when the weather lays down.
