Captain Mike Pritchard called in at 8:45 AM to give us an update from the Tribute. We have 65 Yellowfin Tuna (12 to 25 pounds) very nice grade fish. We have been having very good Yellowfin Tuna fishing the last couple of days. We have a 1.5 day trip this weekend aboard the new boat Pride. Berkley,Penn, and other companies will be on the boat with raffles and giveaways for each passenger. New 1.5 Day Limited Load Trip on The Polaris Supreme Trip. The Polaris supreme has a new 1 1/2 day trip scheduled to depart Sunday afternoon at 6 PM fish all day Monday and return Tuesday morning at 6 AM. We still have six spots open and the trip is all inclusive meals Mexican permits etc. We will be targeting the 15 to 30 pound yellowfin tuna that is outside San Diego. We had an ok day here at Guadalupe. Caught some yellowtail with 3 hitting around 30lbs. We also got some excellent grade yellowfin tuna 55-60 pounders. Dinner was a scrumptious Cornish game hen with a rosemary glaze. Martin who works in the office at the landing supplied Pedro with bags full of fresh herbs and peppers from his garden. Thanks Martin! We've had great weather here and certainly enjoyed fishing the island. We will fish tomorrow until about 9am and then head for home.
We should be at the dock Thursday morning at 8:30am. Two spots open on the Sept. 8 if you can get away. Boss won't let you go? Heck, bring him with you.

Today was another example of the fact that when targeting Bluefin, we are playing by their rules.  We stopped on fish all day and managed to land 15 fish from 30 to 70 lbs and one 45 lb Yellowfin. Staying at the rail and fishing either a 40 lb flyline rig, a 50 lb colt sniper or sinker rig was the best bet today.  Come out to enjoy the ocean, be prepared with your tackle.  Keep your fingers crossed that you are here when they let their guard down a bit is the name of the game.

Hello Everyone, Today spent the morning catching some great premium Yellowtail with some Bluefin mixed in. The second half of the day was spent searching for larger grade Bluefin Tuna. We eventually found an area of larger fish. Ranging in size from 50-130lbs. We managed to land 2 in the 60 lb class. Nice to see that there are still larger ones around. We are in tomorrow and out again for 3. Will Report again tomorrow, Team Supreme
