clarks hill Fishing Report 2025

Wow, I think we have to pinch ourselves to make sure it's real. We had an unbelievable day. You could throw a bait in the water any time from day break to dark and catch a tuna. Some anglers released as many as 15 tuna in the 35-45 lb. class. We also scratched a few wahoo. After a delicious dinner of a veal shank, fresh asparagus and red potatoes all our guys and one lady went to bed very tired. Our weather is gorgeous and we are looking forward to another fantastic day tomorrow. Thanks for checking in. Tommy and crew P.S.  Once again, we left today, Friday to spend our weekend on the sea.  For 1.5 days.  Friday-Sunday.  We have bait, and we're headed out.  One big tank of chovy, and 2 tanks of dine.  We're hoping to put them to good use.  We're headed out.  I feel OK about leaving my daught for her first dress up Halloween.  I got to see her in her lady bug costume and try and trick or treat it up at my wifes work.  So here we go.
       
 

Hooked 10, but they are mean and like to destroy your gear. Ended with 4 Bluefin all around #70 pounds for our 5 anglers. 

Hello Everyone, Today we got an incredible head start to our Black Friday 7 day trip. We loaded a great load of bait and got on the road early. We are headed to the ridge or rocks with hopes of Wahoo, Tuna, Dorado, Grouper, and Yellowtail. Tomorrow will be a rigging day. We will decide whereto start fishing tomorrow. Will report then, Team Supreme

Captain Ryan from the SAN Diego checked in. 38 Passengers 131 Yellowtail, 21 Calp Bass, 5 Barracudda. Reel good action right on top.  We fish everyday!

Hey gang Ryan from the San diego checking in with the Coronado island report. Some very nice schools of yellowtail have moved into the islands. I can honestly say that every time we stopped the boat today we were stopping on a big school of yellows.

Hooking and landing these yellows was not easy to say the least. We hooked around 30 fish today and landed 16. This time of year a lot of our anglers are first timers so hooking and landing a 20-30 lb. yellowtail in 75 foot of water is a tall order. With that being said we did have several people catch their very first yellowtail ever today. Our hotshot angler for the day was Edgar Marty. Edgar was one of the few anglers who had his own tackle today and he hooked 5 yellows and landed 4. Edgar was flylining sardines on 25 lb. mono with a 5 ft. piece of fluorocarbon tied to the end. Conditions at the islands are about as nice as they could be.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-29-2018 We arrived at Guadalupe Island early after noon today. Within a few hours we were able to find excellent size schools of beautiful grade yellow fin tuna. It wasn't until the that they decided by. He stayed with them and drifted tell dark hooking about 15 yellowfin tuna. The landing ratio wasn't great but we had our shot. We are staying the night and definitely going to be here again tomorrow. We're very excited by the amount of fish we saw here today! The Polaris Supreme Crew

Our private charter had to display some good old fashioned patience today. In a typical 3/4 day trip we can expect to make about 3-5 moves thru ought the day looking for fish. Today however, we did not find what we were looking for until our 9th stop of the day. The rapidly changing conditions coupled with the short windows of biting fish have been driving yours truly crazy the past couple of days. Today's photo will show you why we have been putting ourselves thru such mental anguish. Todays final count for our 31 passengers is 11 yellowtail 20 calico bass 16 barracuda 7 rockfish. Our yellowtail today weighed 20-35 pounds and were biting the fly lined sardines the best.
