clark hill Fishing Report 2025

Weather took a turn for the worse. Today it was darn right sloppy looking for tuna. Although there was fair signs of 25-35 lb tuna, it wasn't what we were looking for. We were on what little sign there was of 200 lb tuna most of the morning, but it didn't want to bite. Scott caught and released a 110 pounder and Tom lost one well over 200 lbs. One other boat picked up two over 200 lbs., otherwise that was the only sign of cows seven boats had for the day. The water has cooled off quite a bit. Otherwise there is still plenty of bait around. We are going to bust a move tonight. We will be traveling two more days. Oh yea, lunch was bar-b-que beef, hors d'oeuvres more sushi and sashimi and dinner was Chilean sea bass in a mango salsa with fresh jalapenos and cilantro. Man that was good. I had two helpings myself! Thanks!

Come fishing on November 30ths 7 day. We are all locked and loaded. Wahoo leaders are crimped, tied, and twisted. The tuna gear is on and ready to grab. Even the people who have giant Grouper on the mind have their heavy gear and big hooks tied on ready to flyline a Skipjack. We feel very ready and anxious to start fishing. Hopefully they cooperate . Hey everyone it's time again to start seriously thinking about when you will be able to get on the boat for a tuna trip. Well the albies are being caught right now in good weather and some bft are showing up too. We have 2 openings on a two day charter next week. We depart on Wednesday night and return on Friday night. The trip is limited to only 15 people! The cost is $650. this includes food and permits. If you are interested in going on this trip please contact Steve at 714 272-4395.

This morning we had a passenger who was having a medical problem and had to be airlifted off. We were lucky as Coast Guard was near by rescuing some people off a sailboat. So it was very quick and efficient. Last report is he is doing well. Fishing today was ok. We got some jig strikes for a handful of tuna above the island. In the afternoon we got the anchor down and continued to fish the tuna until a shark shut us down. So we moved to another spot that had good signs of tuna. But even though they were showing well they did not want to bite. The yellowtail however did bite and we got some big hombart yellowtail for about an hour and a half until the shark found us from the previous spot and shut us down again. So we tried to out smart him and swung back up to the original spot and got into some 20-55 pounders. Tomorrow we will be in a different area and should be fishing by 9:30 tomorrow morning. Our weather is ok. There was some wind going down, but not a bad ride. And it was beautiful calm in the lee of the island. Chef Rick is on board this trip and made a great roasted chicken with a garlic cream sauce, zucchini and rice. And dessert was Death by Chocolate. Really good. Thanks for checking in.

ood evening everyone, Today we started in search of Yellowfin Tuna. It seemed that the past days have been a grind for those who have committed to this area. So we woke up today ready to grind. Fortunately we found a school early that wanted to play. So with the ball in our court we were really to put the wood to these school sized fish that were eagerly pouring aboard Polaris Supreme. Absolute chaos to start the day, a perfect way to follow two days of premium yellowtail fishing. We kept at it, getting good scores on these tuna to join the yellows that were chilling in our frigid holds. Eventually we did have to point the boat towards home and call it a trip, but what a way to end! I would like to thank Ron for putting together this charter and everyone for joining us and putting the screws to these fish when it counted! We will be in San Diego tomorrow dark and early at 5:30 to offload the bounty and come out for another. Until next time, Team Supreme

2 yellowtail and all the bottom grabbers you could want. Water conditions seem to be improving but the south wind we’ve dealt with the last couple days have made things interesting.
