went back to canyon lake on the 25th, it was really windy! but hooked into a big 7lb catfish using a nightcrawler. what a fight! lost a couple of lures to the wind but hey that’s fishing! despite the weather, we had a blast out there.
fishing on the 24th at canyon lake was challenging, had some raindrops but stayed hopeful! caught one bass about 3lbs. used spinners to get them to bite, and it worked! still, the wind was rough. hope to get a bigger one next time!
the 17th was a bit sketchy with some rain in the air but went out anyway. managed to land a couple more bass in the rain, was casting a topwater frog and they were just slamming it! wind was wild tho, over 30km/h at times, but it got me pumped! nature at its best.
sunny day on the 12th at canyon, finally! i caught 2 nice crappies, about 2lbs each - using a small jig. the water was super clear, so could see them swimmin. had a great time out there, and even saw some turtles sunning themselves. perfect day for fishing!
fished canyon lake on the 11th, little windy but caught a nice 6lb rainbow trout! used a jig under a bobber, they were biting pretty good. did lose a bigger one by the rocks tho, man i was SO mad but hey that’s fishing right?
